1. Acceptance of Terms

By hiring NB Plumber Joe ("the Company", "we", "our", or "us") for plumbing services, you ("the Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not authorize work to commence.

2. Estimates and Pricing

  • Estimates: We provide estimates based on a visual inspection and the information provided by the Customer. Unless explicitly stated as a "fixed price," estimates are subject to change if unforeseen complications arise during the course of the work (e.g., hidden pipe damage, structural issues, or code violations).
  • Approval: No work will begin without your verbal or written authorization. Should the scope of work change, we will present a revised estimate for your approval before proceeding.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of the requested services unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.

  • We accept major credit cards, debit, e-transfers, and checks.
  • A deposit may be required for large-scale projects, materials, or custom fixture orders prior to work commencing.
  • Overdue accounts may be subject to a late fee of 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance.

4. Workmanship Guarantee and Warranties

We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time.

  • Workmanship: We guarantee our labor for a period of [X] days/years from the date of completion. If an issue arises directly related to our installation or repair within this timeframe, we will correct it at no additional labor cost.
  • Materials: Parts and materials supplied by NB Plumber Joe are covered under their respective manufacturer's warranties. We do not warranty parts supplied by the Customer.
  • Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover damages caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, tampering by third parties, acts of nature, or pre-existing plumbing system failures not addressed in our scope of work (e.g., clearing a drain does not guarantee the pipe won't clog again due to a collapsed line further down).

5. Liability and Limitations

While we take every precaution to protect your property, plumbing repairs can sometimes involve inherent risks.

  • Pre-existing Conditions: NB Plumber Joe is not responsible for damages resulting from old, brittle, or corroded pipes and fixtures that break during the normal course of inspection or repair.
  • Water Damage: We are not liable for any pre-existing water damage or secondary damage (such as mold or structural deterioration) caused by leaks that occurred prior to our arrival.
  • Concealed Utilities: The Customer is responsible for indicating the location of any private, concealed utilities. We are not liable for damage to hidden electrical, plumbing, or irrigation lines not marked or disclosed.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to be present at the scheduled arrival window, may result in a standard dispatch fee.

7. Site Access and Preparation

The Customer agrees to provide safe and clear access to the work area. Please ensure that pets are secured and fragile items are moved away from the plumbing systems being serviced. We reserve the right to refuse service if the working environment is deemed hazardous or unsanitary by our technicians.
